Research Project Description:

 

The first investment option presented to O3Crowd is a Pilot Study conceived and designed by Dr. Silvia Menéndez, PhD. We have identified and hired an experienced team of Alzheimer's researchers in Europe who will be carrying out an initial pilot study with 10 transgenic mice. The lead researcher has over 25 years of experience in Alzheimer's research, and the team has over 100 years of joint experience in this type of  studies. The researchers will be evaluating inflammation and oxidation response to the treatment. The mice will be treated with ozone for a period of 4 months. Based on the results of this study, a pre-clinical study will be designed to establish in much more detail the effects of ozone therapy in Alzheimer patients. The total duration of the Pilot Study will be of 6-8 months, including the analysis and evaluation of the mice's tissues.

Dr. Menéndez chose Alzheimer's disease as an illness to study because there is currently no cure for this disease, which affects millions of people around the world. If the study can prove that Alzheimer's patients can improve their quality of life with medical ozone, more research will be done on the subject, ozone therapy will gain further legitimacy, and patients around the world will benefit from the therapy.
